The Wolverine is a small animal with incredible power let's begin. The Male Wolverine weighs 24 to 40 pounds while females weigh 18 to 26 pounds. They are 26 to 43 inches long and are 14 to 18 inches tall. Wolverines live in Alaska, Siberia, Canada, Fennoscandia, European Russia, the Baltic countries, Far east Russia, northeast China, and Mongolia. Wolverines are mainly scavengers. They are known to follow lynx and wolf trails to find their previous prey. Wolverines will capture live prey such as Porcupines, Chipmunks, Squirrels, Beavers, Marmots, Moles, Gophers, rabbits, Voles, Mice, Rats, Shrews, Lemmings, Caribou, Roe deer, White tailed deer, Mule Deer, Goats, Sheep, Cattle, Bison, Elk, Marten, Minks, Foxes, Eurasian lynx, coyotes, wolf pups, Birds, Bird eggs, Berries, roots, seeds, Insect larvae, weasels, and Canada lynx. Wolverines live 8 to 10 years In the wild, but In captivity they can live up to 17 years In captivity. The Wolverine has a bite force 1,700 PSI and can run up to 30 miles per hour! Wolverines are highly solitary and often mark their territories to ensure other wolverines stay out. Wolverines have dark fur which Is oily. Their fur Is also highly Hydrophobic which means It doesn't collect frost or ice.
