Qinling Panda

The Qinling Panda Is between 3 feet 11 Inches tall or 5 feet 11 Inches tall. They are between 21 and 31 Inches tall at the shoulder. Male Qinling Pandas weigh between 130 pounds and 430 pounds. while the females weigh between 165 pounds to 276 pounds. This subspecies is solely restricted to the Qinling mountain range. It was thought to just be a a Giant Panda with odd coloration, but once It was closer analyzed It was made an official subspecies of the Giant Panda In 1959. They live In elevations between 4,300 feet to 9,800 feet high! Some scientists believe that the color variation was a genetic result due to Inbreeding. The Qinling Panda breeds In spring and breeds every 2 to 3 years. They give birth to usually one cub rarely twins.Qinling Pandas eat for fourteen hours a day and they can eat up to 84 pounds a day. Although these pandas grow to astonishing weights they are born at only 100 grams! which gives them one of the most high mortality rates In the animal kingdom. In the wild they can live to about 15 to 20 years, but they can live even longer In captivity. They are also an extremely rare bear species. Their are only about 300 left In the whole world and their Isn't much genetic diversity so since their Isn't much diversity In the gene pool this could threaten the species later In their conservation journey.
