At the shoulder they are between 12 and 20 inches tall. The Red Fox has amazing abilities and one of them is its incredible jumping ability. Red Foxes have been known to jump 6 feet 7 inches in the air. They also can reach incredible speeds up to 31 miles per hour. Red Foxes have binocular vision. The Red Foxes auditory perception is incredible. The Red Fox is spread all around the world except in Antarctica. Red Foxes use urine marking. to establish and mark their territory. The Red Fox is an omnivore it has a wide variety of prey that it will eat including mice, gophers, ground squirrels, hamsters, gerbils, wood chucks, muskrats, voles, porcupines, Raccoons, possums, reptiles, Insects, amphibians, black berry, blue berry, raspberry, cherry, persimmon, apple, plumb and on occasion it will target small ungulates. Enemies and competitors of the Red fox are Corsac fox, gray fox, wolves, coyotes, lynx, bobcats, golden jackal. The Red fox will also eat small to medium mustelids. Females give birth to four to six pups, but once a female was recorded having thirteen kits.
