Otter civets are an endangered species with amazing attributes. Otter Civets are equipped with webbed feet which is an adaptation to its aquatic habitat. It also has long stiff whiskers they use for foraging. they are distributed In Sumatra, Borneo, and peninsular Thailand. The Otter Civet is nocturnal and obtain most food near the water. The Otter Civet eats Crustaceans, Fish, Invertebrates, Frogs, Insects, Fruit, or plant material, but sometimes they will climb trees to eat birds. There are 2,490 Otter Civets left. Two of the reasons there endangered is because of habitat destruction. and sometimes they will be caught in snares. The Otter Civet is a nocturnal species. It Sometimes hunts in small pools or flooded areas in its environment. The Otter Civet also has a bushy tail to help balance while swimming. he Otter Civet Female gives birth to 1 to 3 offspring per litter. Their young are born undeveloped and develop throughout their childhood. The Otter Civet has a flattened skull to help swimming. When The Otter Civet Swims it doesn't make a sound while swimming.
