The Lesser Grison is a small mustelid that you will get to learn about today. The Lesser Grison is 27 inches long and weighs 2.6 to 5.3 pounds. Lesser Grison males are slightly larger than females. Lesser Grisons eat a variety of food such as medium rodents, rabbits, snakes, birds, frogs, lizards, wild guinea pigs, and they have been seen eating avocados and other fruits. Even though the Lesser Grison has webbing on their feet they are better adapted for running and climbing. Like many other mustelids they possess scent glands. These scent glands are not as a skunk but still produce a bad smell. Lesser Grisons hunt primarily during the day and are either solitary or live in small groups.
