Java Green Peacock

The Java Green Peacock is a beautiful bird with an incredible color this why I am writing this text to inform you about this incredible creature. The Green Peacock is generally a a large bird males are any where between 5ft 11 inches to 9ft 10 inches long. (with tail feathers). Females are around 3ft to 3ft 7 inches long. Males weigh 11 LBS and females weigh 2.6 pounds. They are widely distributed In Southeast Asia. The Green peacock is an endangered species with 10,000 to 19,000 left in world. The green peacock is a forest bird and nests on the ground laying 3 to 6 eggs. One of there main threats is hunting specifically due to poaching.
