The jaguar is the third largest cat in the world with a beautiful coat. The jaguar is 6 feet long and weighs 348 pounds. The jaguar's coat is made up with dark colored rosettes. Base colors can vary from an orangish cream color to a solid black. The jaguar eats capybaras, giant anteaters, marsh deers, black agoutis, green anacondas, caimans, southern tamunda, Collared peccary, and turtles. Jaguars are solitary. Jaguars have a hunting technique instead of chasing they stalk and strike when close enough. Jaguars can run up to 50 miles an hour and have a bite force of 1,500 PSI. Jaguars are an excellent swimmer among other big cats. Jaguars are found in 19 different countries and are the only member of the genus Panthera that is found in the Americas. Jaguars have one to two cubs in a litter. Deforestation is a huge threat to jaguars. Another big threat to the jaguars is poaching.
