The horned screamer is a unique and incredible bird. The horned screamer weighs 7.7 pounds and is 37 inches long. They are 37 inches tall. The Horned screamer its head and chest are black while the rest of its body speckled. The horned screamers bill is about the size of a chickens bill. Their is a large spiny "Horn" that is protruding from its head. The Horned screamer has two long legs. They have two spurs on their feet which are part webbed. They live in Columbia, Venezuela, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador, French Guiana, Suriname, and Guyana. The horned screamer tends to live in flocks but they have been seen solitary. They feed on water plants and live in swamps. Its nest is a floating pile of vegetation. Under the belly of the screamer it is white along with the undersides of the wing. The Horned screamer lays three brown olive eggs. When juveniles are born they almost run immediately. Large felines, birds of prey, and humans are the main predators of the horned screamer.
