The Bengal Tiger is an incredible species of big cats that are beautiful let's begin! The Male Bengal tiger weighs between 440 pounds to 570 pounds. Females weigh in around 291 to 344 pounds. Males are 39 inches tall at the shoulder, while females are 30 to 37 inches tall. Males have an average length of 111 to 122 inches. Females have an average length of 100 to 112 inches. The Bengal tiger lives in four different countries India, Nepal, Bangaldesh , and Bhutan. Bengal Tigers inhabit tropical moist evergreen forests, Tropical dry forests, sub tropical and tropical deciduous forests, and mangroves. The Bengal tiger is a carnivore. It prefers to eat ungulates such as Gaur, Sambar, Chital, Barasingha, Water Buffalo, Nilgai, Serow, and Takins. They Also will eat medium sized prey such as Wild Boar, Hog deer, Indian Muntjac, Northern plains grey Langur, Peafowl Pocupines, and hares. Tigers will Primarily stick to this list of prey, but they will occasionally take down predators like the Indian Leopard, Mugger crocodile, Asiatic Black Bear, Sloth Bear, and dhole. Adult tigers do not take down elephants usually, but once a whole bunch of tigers were feasting on a twenty eight year old elephant that was sick. They also do not kill Indian Rhinoceroses, but as you know these tigers can surprise you one year they took down twenty Indian rhinoceroses! Once a King cobra, Indian cobra, Asian water monitor, Rhesus Macaque, fish crabs, and very rarely fishing cats. females give birth to 1 to 4 cubs in a litter.
