The Bay Cat is an endangered feline that is not well known so hopefully this post will inform you about this incredible species. The Bay Cat has a bright Chestnut color fur but is paler under its tail and limbs and also can be a reddish color. The Bay cat can only be found on the island of Borneo and is rarely seen in the wild. Adults weigh 8.8 pounds and are 41 inches long from head to tail. The Bay Cat is a forest dependent and there population suffers greatly from habitat loss. They also suffer from poaching and Illegal pet trade. Bay Cats eat small mammals, birds, and monkeys. They also scavenge on dead animals. Bay Cats are also a nocturnal type of cat. They are a mainly solitary species and spend most of there lives of there whole lives on the ground. They live in a tropical environment and in the tropical mountains and tropical forests.
